Dr Mark Dober
BA Fine Arts (Hons), Master of Fine Arts ; PhD in Fine Art (Painting).
Mark Dober has a PhD in Painting from Monash University, and has exhibited widely, including in many prestigious art prizes ( Fletcher Jones Art Prize at Geelong Gallery, the John Glover Prize, the John Leslie Prize, and the Len Fox Art Prize at Castlemaine Gallery). Mark is also a regularly published art writer for magazines like Art Monthly Australia, Artist Profile, and Australian Art Review.
Mark will give a presentation on his plein-air landscape painting (oils and gouache) In his talk Mark will also be giving considerable attention to the work of other leading contemporary plein-air painters, particularly Melbourne's Mary Tonkin and England's David Hockney.
