An exhibition from one of our talented members.
Phil Kreveld’s exhibition references his cultural heritage and universal themes. Phil said that one’s voyage through life is perceived looking back, and that his paintings look back through his Jewish roots becoming distinguishable, impelling him to reflect on διασπορα (diaspora). Originally referring to the scattering of Jews, he attempts to show that cultural heritage and shared humanity more than native soil not only define us, but create bonds we break at our peril.
