Still life painting with Lewis Miller
The art of still life is not quite as old as the world, but getting there. Its art forms are many and varied—think of Jean Gris, Morandi, Matisse, the Flemish masters, like van Ostade, Flinck, etc. Lewis, an Australian artist with an international following, is well-known for his portraiture but he is also engrossed in the still life form of quiet contemplation where his mastery of technique combined with sensitivity crystallises into jewel-like, sparkling observations.
