figure drawing workshop
Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September 1.30 - 5.30pm
Godwin Bradbeer has a reputation for intense, large scale figurative drawing.
He brings his substantial photographic background to bear with his distinctive modes of drawing, referencing primitive, classical and contemporary aesthetics of many cultures and disciplines.
Godwin’s work is included in the collections of the Australian National Gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria, The Art Gallery of NSW and many other prestigious international collections.
The 2 session workshop will make use of Godwin’s extensive teaching experience.
Session one will be based around a life drawing session with short and long poses including anatomy, historic context, linear and tonal practice, analysis and demonstration.
Session two will focus the study themes on the head, with two life models sitting in the studio.
Participants will gain an applied comprehension of human physiology and a means of rendering the essential dynamic information of our physical selves with expressive confidence.
This workshop is about to sell out.
